Strict symmetry as a guide. The administration of the German Investment and Development Company (DEG) in Cologne, is housed in a grid-like building. Even at first glance is a strict symmetry revealed. According consistently is the homogeneous grid design, both inside and outside has the same look. This is especially important because the windows reach the floor.
Inside cover 1,350m aluminum grates the underfloor. To avoid expansion noises, cellular rubber buffers the metal from the side of the façade. Bulkhead within the shafts absorb the sound.
Outdoor covers the same type aluminum grates from 140 meters drainage channels made of stainless steel. The bar spacing of the grids inside and outside is 10 millimeters. Only in the entrance area there are 5 millimeters, so no sales remains stuck in it.
Grates and gutters are products of TTC / ADO.
